An eclectic mix of unforgettable musical sojourns and frenzied waltzing; of frolicking the day, partying the nights and yet heeding society’s cause. This is an utopia, a chance to seize life for 4 days and yet lose yourself. This is not a dream, this is where dreams come true. This is not just any college fest. This is Spring Fest. This is SF. This is Simply Fantastic.

Wildfire:

70 MM:

Calling all the wannabe Speilbergs and Rays, its time to set the cameras rolling. You always wanted to make the ‘film-makers cut’; well here is your chance. Introducing in SF’10, 70mm brings to you a whole genre of events related to movie-making. Shoot an inhouse documentary in “Lights Camera SF” or let your creative juices flow in “de Montagio”. Or just drop by with your pics in “Cell-flix”. With such a variety, this is a potboiler you surely cant miss!

Centrifuge:

An inter-collegiate event, and one of the most anticipated events, this is when hordes of people descend upon Netaji to watch the best teams in India set the stage on fire with breathtaking dancing skills. Such is the crowd fervor on display that winner may be one but losers are none! So get ready to flaunt those oh-so-amazing moves you’ve been practising all along. May Terpsichore smile over you…

The raw footage from a film shot in Barcelona has been made available for the public to download from the Stray Cinema website. This is the second open source movie provided by Stray Cinema. The idea is to provide people with the opportunity to create their own version of the film, following the guidelines set by the Open Source movement found in software development and licensing.

To participate, people must edit a one-two minute version of the film they wish to make from the available footage. Participants are then invited to post this manipulated footage back onto the Stray Cinema website, to be judged by their online community. The only stipulation is that the finished product contain at least 80 per cent of the original footage and be no longer than two minutes in duration. Film makers can add their own sound or download music created by participating musicians on websites such as MySpace.

The top five films will be screened alongside the original film cut, at an official Stray Cinema screening in Barcelona six months from the day there are 30 film submissions on the website.

Stary Cinema is a very useful resource for filmmaking students. You can download the footage from http://straycinema.com and use it for your editing exercises.

You can watch some of the film submitted by the users at http://straycinema.com/watch/

You can download the footage from here

Adobe Story enables the online pre-production workflow for those who want to collaborate and expand their ideas anytime, anywhere, with anyone.

Story will play the starting role in the pre-production phase of a planning-to-playback workflow. For example, script information will be transformed into relevant metadata that will automate the creation of shooting scripts, shot lists, and more. So in addition to being a modern screenplay tool, Story’s future integration with Adobe’s production toolset will help creative professionals deliver more engaging experiences, while also enabling huge efficiencies in pre-production, production, and post-production.

Story, you can:

Craft your tale anywhere and at anytime in a secure online and offline writing environment tailored to industry requirements.

Easily manage several script projects, develop character biographies, add links as reference points, and fashion synopses.

Brainstorm script ideas or co-write and edit as a team. Assign roles that give production team members the ability to read, review, or modify the script.

Import the sample script or your existing screenplay from other scriptwriting software, including Final Draft or MS Word. Take your script to the next stage by exporting to a variety of different formats such as PDF, XML, Text, MS Word, Movie Magic scheduler, or CSV for easy import into Excel.
