We recently hosted a remarkable seminar on the Direction of Photography at Ramanaidu film school, led by industry expert Shri Maneendra Kumar. Aspiring directors and photography technicians filled the class, immersing themselves in the art of capturing breathtaking shots and weaving visual stories. From mastering lighting techniques to framing captivating compositions, the students delved into the world of cinematography within our studio and amidst picturesque outdoor locations, enhancing their learning experience with Maneendra Kumar’s guidance.

Ramanaidu Film School hosted Mr. N Tushar Chowdary, an esteemed guest, who delivered a transformative seminar on ad filmmaking and film production. The seminar covered various topics including brand storytelling, methodologies and workflows of ad filmmaking, differences between films and videos, working with local and international brands, creative problem solving, winning proposals, AI advancements in filmmaking, interactive storytelling, building a successful career, and the craft of producing. Attendees gained insights into creating compelling brand stories, ensuring seamless production, adapting to diverse markets, pitching creative solutions, presenting winning proposals, embracing AI advancements, exploring immersive mediums, developing essential skills, and understanding the behind-the-scenes magic of producing.

The RFS team got honored to meet Mr. Nagaraja Goud, an accomplished Executive Producer with vast experience in Zee and Maa TV channels and the film industry. He graciously imparted his profound expertise on “Production Management.” Through insightful explanations, relevant examples, and engaging demonstrations, Mr. Goud deepened our understanding of the intricacies involved in pre-production, production, and post-production for TV programs, OTT series, and movies. It was a valuable and enriching experience for our RFS team.

Dr. Sailesh Kolanu shared his experience with aspiring filmmakers and students of RFS, emphasizing the importance of character profiles, elevator pitches, and pitch preparation. He discussed the significance of maintaining lighting continuity, mood, and set design, praised actor Nani and shared his journey in picking the right technicians. He also talked about the magic of celluloid film and how he left his comfortable career in optometry to become a filmmaker, getting renowned with his HIT movie-verse and currently filming ‘Saindhav’ with Mr. Venkatesh Daggubati.

Insightful interactive session with Music director/Composer Mr. Mark Robins highlighted key communication skills for Film directors to convey their music choice effectively. Thorough groundwork on music choice, good rapport with technicians, and forming a Director-Lyricist-Music Director group are crucial. Giving judgment on music must be constructive, and knowledge of all genres is helpful. Constant evolution in learning is crucial rather than expensive training abroad.

Our students attended a lecture by Mrs Lavanya Shankar on team building. Students got to learn about time management and coordination in between team members while working with a group of creative people.
