Stream C - Acting
This is a four month course that provides training in film and television acting. The student would be exposed to contemporary techniques that begins with exploration and concludes in performance. All the key concepts of acting such as the fundamentals of script and character analysis, the five dimensions of playing a character, understanding the role of intention, objective and obstacle on a scene to scene basis, mobilization of emotional memory and sensory memory to provide an original take on a character, developing the ability to listen to co-actors in ensemble situations and learning to act from moment to moment, honing skills with improvs and games, learning to face the camera and understanding blocking and framing of shots and the role played by lighting.
