Virendra Chauhan is an Indian movie actor who has acted in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Gujarati language movies. He is an FTII Pune alumnus and has done theatre for 18 years. Virendra can speak English, Hindi, Telugu, Gujarati, Tamil and Marathi. He is currently based out of Hyderabad, India and often travels to Chennai, Mumbai and Ahmedabad.

Chauhan was born in Ahmadabad, Gujarat to a well settled and well-known family. He started his acting career with 2-year course “Drama” at the age of 8 when he joined the “LITTLE THEATRE” acting school for children. He did a 3 act play called “Laliyo lathth” at a very young age.

He holds a 2 Years Diploma “Drama” from Gujarat College, Ahmedabad (Gujarat University). Though after diligent attempts he was not fortunate enough to pass through the final round of the National School Of Drama but later he went to pursue an acting course at the prestigious and premier FILM AND TELEVISION INSTITUTE OF INDIA ( F.T.I.I. ) – Pune. He has also done a Master’s in Commerce.

In the early stages of his Theatre career he has performed in plays;“MANE KEM VISARERE”( GUJARATI ),” ZAAD NI MAYA” and ”KHISKOLI” for Doordarshan ISRO. Virendra has acted in India’s first TeleFilm “Reva”.

Virendra Chauhan has acted as the main or lead villain character in over 20 movies from Tollywood, Kollywood as well as Bollywood. To mention a few award-winning movies in which he has acted are; Aithe (2003) (Indian National Award-winning film for best Telugu language movie), “Yeh wo shahar to nahi” and “Hypnothesis” ( National Award-winning short film). Arjun (2004), Parugu (2008), okkadunnadu (2007) are other Telugu well-known movies in which he has acted.

With an overall experience of 38 years in Acting and Theatres, Virendra Chouhan’s presence and Teaching would surely be a great inclusion to the existing fraternity of Ramanaidu Film School.
